THE MAGICAL WORLD OF HANS CHRISTIAN ANDERSEN 

The Joy of Europe is the oldest international manifestation of the childrens creativity from the European countries, who comes to Belgrade, "the children's capital", every October. This event is the winner of the prestigious European EFFE Label award "Remarkable arts festival - Europe for festivals - Festivals for Europe".

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, half a century after the first meeting, The Joy of Europe is marked in two ways: Online performances by children from European countries and workshops at the Children's Cultural Center in Belgrade which is dedicated to tradition, artists, curiosities and cultural heritage from different European countries.

The Kingdom of Denmark also had its day, and the workshop for the children was dedicated to fairytales: "Objects and beings in the magical world of H.C. Andersen's fairy tales". It was a extraordinary way to learn about Denmark and the Danish author, who is world famous for his fairy tales.
