Applying for Visas

Visas can be requested by submitting an application to the Consular Section of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia (Any working day from 10am to 1pm, no appointment necessary). Visa processing time is at least 3 weeks.

If you live outside of Copenghagen, you could send your documents by post. 

In this case you have to keep in mind:
- Visa Fee
- You have to send us Return Prepaid Envelope for returning back passports.
- In a letter please explain details of your planned visit, and explain which documents are provided.

The new Law on Foreigners of the Republic of Serbia has entered into force on 3 October 2018. The full text of the Law may be found on the web site of the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Serbia - please follow the link.

You may apply for one of the following visas:

1) Short Stay Visa (Visa C)
2) Long Stay Visa (Visa D)

Please be advised that as of 3 October 2018, we will no longer be issuing B visas (Transit visas). If you plan to transit through Serbia and you do require a visa, you ought to apply for a C visa. Please contact the Consular Section for additional information.

VISA C:

Short-stay visas are mainly issued for private visits, tourism, business as well as other travelling needs You may apply for a single, double or for multiple entries into the Republic of Serbia.

The duration of an uninterrupted stay, and/or the total duration of successive visits of an alien with a short-stay visa must not exceed 90 days within a period of six months which began on the day of the first entry.

VISA C REQUIREMENTS:

- Valid passport (passport must be valid at least 90 days from issue date of visa)
- Photo (Size 3,5 x 4,5 cm)
- Completed visa application form
- Invitation letter

  • for a private visit - invitation letter certified by the relevant authority of the Republic of Serbia
  • for a business visit - invitation from by a company in Serbia stating nature of the business and expected duration of the visit, as well as a letter from an british company which you are representing
  • for a tourist visit - a proof of payment for the trip issued by a travel agency (voucher or other type of payment receipt);  hotel booking (please be advised that we no longer accept online booking confirmations, you will require to provide us with a hotel booking on an official letterhead and signed by management)

- Proof of stay in Demark - residence permit, visa (if you are not residing in your native country)
- Letter from Employer
- Return ticket or Itinerary (copy of International Driving License, Title and  Insurance if you travel by car)
- Proof of sufficient funds for staying in Serbia
- Health insurance
- Visa fee (please check here)

VISA D:

If you intend to stay in Serbia for more than 90 days within a 6 month period, you must apply for a D visa (long stay visa). If you intend to apply for residency permit in Serbia, you ought to apply for D visa prior to your intended trip. Please contact the Consular Section for additional information on how to apply and advise on the purpose of your forthcoming stay in Serbia.

All visa processing times are at least 3 weeks and may extend for to up to a month.

You may apply for a visa no earlier than 3 months before your intended trip.

Your travel document needs to be valid at least 90 days on the day you exit Serbia.

You ought to have at least 2 empty pages in your travel document.

The Embassy reserves the right to request additional documentation.
Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
